Gossip Girl Season Six Cast SPOILERS

Looking at Wikipedia (not always a reliable source, please bare this in mind) it looks as though both Jenny Humphrey (Taylor Momsen) and Eric van der Woodsen (....) are set to return at some point during the remainder of the final season.
Connor Palolo
Taylor Momsen

Wikipedia also says that Alexa Chung is set to appear as herself and, even more excitingly (is that even a word? Well, it should be!) Cecily von Ziegesar, the author of Gossip Girl, looks set to make an apperace as herself too!

Alexa Chung

The only downside seems to be that Vanessa Abrams (...) isn't mentioned, but I guess I can deal with that, seeing as Cecily von Ziegesar is!

Saturday's Post

Nom nom.
Just got in from my friends birthday meal at TGI's and I must say that I am ABSOLUTELY stuffed and ABSOLUTELY shattered, by which I mean tired.
I'm trying to do at least one post per day and I realise its late and, looking at the time, I have precisely 34 minutes to finish writing this and to post it. I don't really know what else to say really, hmm... Let me think...
Oh yes! Today I got some new heels, they are nude and cost precisely £19.50, from M&S, wouldn't you know. Nude seems to be the best colour to buy heels in as it goes with e-ver-ry-ting, plus they make your legs look longer and skinner (a great improvement for me!).
Anyways, not sure what I'll post about tommorrow, perhaps an outfit? You know, like the gold peplum one, idk.
Ta-Ta for now!

Wish for the final episode: SEE CHUCK BASS WEAR HIS SCARF AGAIN

Wish for the final episode:
SEE CHUCK BASS WEAR HIS SCARF AGAIN

Gossip Girl; Where the Vile Things Are REVIEW

I know its a bit late but I only just got chance to catch up on Gossip Girl. As a reminder of what happened read the summary below, and click HERE for the source of the summary and links to watch the episode.

SUMMARY:
Blair gets ready for her mother's imminent arrival, but is unprepared for the set of demands her mother puts upon her. Serena volunteers to help Dan find a new place to live, but their time together brings up unexpected emotions. With Ivy's help, Chuck discovers there is evidence incriminating his father in illegal activities and enlists the help of Nate to retrieve it. Meanwhile, Rufus and Ivy are excited about their art gallery opening until they find an empty RSVP list and must scramble to find another way to make the event a success. Source: The CWDirector: Norman BuckleyWriter: Danny Steele

There were a number of things which I enjoyed about this episode, mainly the simply gorgeous artwork! Like Lily Bass I aslo am a great fan of the 'Rainbow Woman' painting and I must say that I miss seeing it hanaging above the stairs in the van der Woodsen apartment. However, I do think that the way in which the painting, which has hung the the van der Woodsen apartment ever since the first episode, was used was great as it linked this series to the first.

Other links to the first series were obvious, such as Serena and Dan's 'date' (is that what it's called?). The linkage between this episode and the first series is part of what made this episode so great to watch, I loved linking the small details together!

Being a huge fan of Downton Abbey and Gossip Girl Eleanor Waldorf's reference to Downton Abbey made me smile. I felt that the episode was extremely current, partly due to the very modern, very up-to-date technology.

I did feel sorry for Blair, as, personally, I had no problem whatsoever with the dress that she got Sage to wear for cottilion. However, I do have a problem with the first of Blair's outfits. To put it bluntly I felt that she looked like a frumpy old granny in that yellow cardigan. But that's just personal opinion. I was a fan of Blair's art benefit dress though, that I will say.

Anyway, back to the art benefit! That benefit must have raised a heck of a lot of money, mainly due to Lilly, Rufus and Ivy's argument. Chuck left his limo to walk on the sidewalk? What is this? Though I will admit, I could kill Ivy. After all, if you think about it, it's her stopping Chuck and Blair being together!
Oh, and one more thing I don't know if all Americans say this but when they say multi they don't say mul-tee they say mul-tie. If your american and your reading this then please comment and let me know how you say multi, I'm curious!

Gossip Girl; Monstrous Ball Review

Summary:After Eleanor gives Blair an ultimatum, Blair is even more determined to remedy Waldorf Designs' problems by making a splash with a dress at the upcoming Cotillion, but a shocking revelation at the ball affects everyone. Serena becomes worried about Steven's attitude toward her, but after some investigating she discovers the surprising reason why. Chuck finds an unlikely ally as he tries to drive a wedge between Bart and Lily's relationship to help expose his father's secret. Meanwhile, Dan publishes another article, but the effect is just the opposite of what he was hoping for.
Source: The CW

Monstrous indeed was that ball. It changed everything. Absolutely everything. This episode was full of scandal, just how I like it :)
I was somewhat shocked to find Chuck Bass and Ivy Dickens working together, though, I must admit that they did work well together! So long as Ivy doesn't end up taking Blair Waldorf's place in Chuck's heart its all good as far as I'm concerned.

Sage seems to be clever, and perhaps even better at scheming than Blair. Though Blair's scheming never really hurt anyone permanently whereas Sage's scheming seems to be of the more negative and dark kind. The Serena/Dan Humphery sex tape scandal thingy was particularly well thought out on Sage's part though, I do have to 'pat her on the back' as so to speak for that! The reactions to this scandal were extremely explosive, the fact that the Upper East Siders react so bluntly to things like this is great!

Personally I'm rather glad that Serena vd. Woodsen is not getting engaged to Steven. I mean, how simply boring would that be?

Lily Bass is so faithful to Bart Bass. I don't know if I'm biased, but Bart seems to me to be awful. Chuck at least thinks about other people!

My one thought from this episode; Is there anyone who hasn't slept with every Upper East Sider?

Until next time,
R x

Nails: Luminous

To create these luminous nails you need to very bright, very bold, out of the box colours!
(eg-green and orange)
  1. Paint a clear bottom layer onto your nails.
  2. On alternate nails paint one layer of one colour (eg-orange).
  3. On the nails that you have yet to paint paint one layer of the other colour (eg-green).
  4. Once dry paint another layer of the correct colour on-top of your nails.
  5. Once dry paint a top-coat or clear nail polish onto your nails.
  6. Once dry there you go! Bright, bold luminous nails!

Nails: Lattice

To create these lattice nails you need to use 2 colours (eg-black and pink). The top colour (eg-black) must be darker than the block colour (eg-pink).

  1. Paint clear nail polish or a base coat onto your nails and wait for it to dry.
  2. Paint your block colour (eg-pink) on-top of your base coat (you may need two coats).
  3. Once the block colour is dry very carefully paint diagonal lines in a darker colour (eg-black) on-top of the block colour.
  4. Then paint more diagonal lines on-top of those you already have. Paint them so that they form a criss-cross lattice.
  5. Once the lattice has completely dried paint a top coat or clear nail polish on-top.
  6. When your nails have dried you have perfect lattice nails! Simple.

You can use any nail polish colours for this, baby pink and white as well as black and silver also go well together.
  1. Apply a base-coat, to avoid staining.
  2. Paint one layer of block colour carefully onto your nails (eg-silver).
  3. Paint a second layer of your chosen block colour ontop (eg-silver).
  4. Once its dried carefully, using a colour which works well with your block colour (eg-black on silver) and begin in the top corner of your nails. Carefully draw on the flicks, 3 per nail works best.
  5. Once the flicks have dried, paint one layer of clear nail polish on-top.
  6. Wait for your nails to be completley dry and there you go! Perfect flick styled nails!

Gossip Girl: Portrait of a Lady Alexander Review

So I watched the latest gossip girl episode, Portrait of a Lady Alexander and I have to say that I didn't find it as dramatic as the last few episodes.
I'm glad that Chuck Bass has finally got close to exposing Bart Bass' secret though I am finding that story line particuarly interesting  I hope that, in the next episode, Waldorf Designs gets back on track or at least plays a part in the episode!
Sage reminds me of Vanessa, whom I'd still love to see make a reappearance in this, the final season.
The fact that Steven slept with Lilly and that Steven didn't tell Serena van der Woodsen I find quite disgusting, though I think that he can be forgiven as he evidently didn't realize that it was Lilly who he slept with.
I'm super-glad that Steven and Nate Archibald no longer have daggers drawn, though to me Steven does look rather like Nate's cousin, the one who was a congressman (forgotten his name!). I feel sorry for Nate as he seems to be under a lot of fire at the moment, what with Dan Humphery stopping publishing in his magazine among other things and I hope that the Spectator, along with Waldorf designs, recovers fully before the final episode.
Ivy seems to be a proper two-faced bitch, lying to Rufus. I hope that Rufus Humphery realizes that shes been going behind his back ASAP!
The next episode, Monstrous Ball, looks like it'll be awesome!

Other blogs...

On this accout I have two other blogs, one entitled Cuba and the other called the Stardolling world.
The Cuba blog I made in geography, when we had to do a project on a country. Being me I decided to be different to everyone else and make a blog instead of a poster, which most people seemed to be doing. As expected, only one person (the teacher) has viewed this blog and your more than welcome to take a look at it (warning: it is rather boring).
The Stardolling world isn't a bad blog. By this I mean its not boring, however, it is rather irrelevant. I used to be addicted to a website called Stardolls, on which you get to make your own doll and buy clothes for it etc. If any of you have a Stardolls obsession then feel free to take a look at my doll, Carlotta347 I belive it was called. Anyway, the Stardolling world was basically a blog about Stardolls.
I would delete these blogs though unfortunately I have no idea how to, so there here to stay. For now.

Skyfall

Skyfall, the latest 007 film to hit our big screens, is to the same high standard as all of the other Bond films. Thwart with drama this action packed film is certainly a must see. Bond evades death by the skin of his teeth on numerous occasions, this is guaranteed to keep you on the very edge of your seat throughout the film. All of the acting is to a high standard, the film techniques magnificent, the theme tune (Adele's Skyfall) note perfect, the script gripping and the behind the scene work spot on. All of this contributes to the excellency of Skyfall and makes it well worthy of all the hype that it has received  But then again, it is a Bond film, of course its going to be good!
I have only one question; when does the next Bond film premiere?
